The 12th Annual golf Tournament was held at the Port Ludlow Golf Course on Friday, August 16, 2024. It went very well as the weather was very cooperative and the only mishap was that the traffic on Highway 104 prevented a few golfers from making it to the course on time and caused the caterer to arrive at the Bay Club a little late. The awards dinner was catered by Danny’s Bar-b-que, in Silverdale, which everyone enjoyed. The Dove House Tournament Planning Committee was led by (the Barbara(s)) Berthiaume and Burke. They led the Committee planning meetings, which organized all the tasks needed to put on the event into digestible bites for the team to execute. The team consisted of Bluebills from the Port Ludlow area, Port Ludlow Golf Club members, Dove House employees and volunteers, led by Yolanda Wilde, and the Golf Course personnel led by Jim Mancill, the Head Pro at the golf course. Our preliminary net for this year’s tournament is $29,226.74. Most of the revenue for the event comes from sponsors and though we lost 2 long-time sponsors we picked up 6 new ones. The Committee is already starting the planning process for next year, including reserving the Port Ludlow Golf Course for Friday August 15, 2025. If any Bluebills would like to get involved in planning and executing the 2025 Dove House Tournament, please contact Barbara Burke.

Raffle tickets were sold throughout the day and drawings were held at the Awards Ceremony along with a Silent Auction.
