Bluebills are getting to be well known in Kitsap County, and referrals come in from a score of health care providers and agencies dealing with the elderly and disabled. So far this year we have responded to over 100 requests in South Kitsap. This one came from Life Care Center of Port Orchard on behalf of a rehab client who was due to be released.
Belfair is actually in Mason County, but close enough to South Kitsap that we were able to work it in. As South Kitsap lead, John Bilides, said after conducting a site survey, “This will be a doozy! Build a 4’x6′ platform from the door, then a 12′ ramp to the lower deck and then another 12′ ramp from the lower deck to the ground through a 38″ wide gate.”
The result was this “seamless” ramp that extended from the entry platform, across the multi-level deck, through the gate, out to the driveway.
